Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent required; HR certification preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience in compensation administration including spreadsheet design and analysis required; Experience with databases and variable compensation plans with complex metrics preferred
Knowledge of HRIS, Microsoft Office, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations required; Knowledge of PeopleSoft and MS Access preferred
General understanding of HR theories and practices, financial reports, and stock compensation and long-term incentive design preferred
MAJOR DUTIES:
Perform job evaluations and support the administration of the company’s job documentation, analyses and grading programs. Meet with management to discuss aspects of positions, conduct external market data and internal equity analyses and recommend salary grades for positions.
Ensure that job descriptions are current and accurate. Conduct job description reviews to determine the responsibilities, experience and skill requirements are appropriate.
Conduct FLSA testing and prepare recommendations to ensure compliance.
Maintain and update Federated Hermes’ Investment Management bonus program:
Calculate bonus accruals
Calculate annual bonuses
Enter participant, fund and performance data into the IM database
Manage and analyze data from multiple sources, i.e., market data, PeopleSoft, Morningstar for input into IM database
Update balanced scorecards with fund assignments, peer groups, performance targets, etc.
Prepare, and distribute IM scorecards to managers and participants for review and approval.
Coordinate the receipt and review of performance appraisals to ensure compliance with company guidelines. Work with management and payroll to ensure that performance appraisals are conducted and processed on a timely basis.
Analyze data, and conduct market research in support of the annual compensation programs, e.g., salary structures, merit budgets and bonus programs.
Support the annual compensation planning process: participate in management meetings to understand and document recommendations for promotions/salary adjustments; develop the compensation planning calendar; prepare communications to management related to the processes.
Administer the MPP process including submission of nominations, communications to management, submission of goals and review date changes.
