JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for collecting outstanding balances from residents, partnering directly with Community Managers and their associates to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete and that we are compliant with all applicable laws and departmental policies/guidelines. Additionally, this position is responsible for achieving any established daily, weekly, or monthly targets as well as address and actively work to resolve disputed accounts.

1.â¯â¯ â¯Receivesâ¯inbound calls, emails and voicemails from residents and communities. Makes outbound calls and emails to former resident(s) with outstanding balances and collectsâ¯payments and directs calls when disputing.Â
2.â¯â¯ â¯Respondsâ¯promptly to former resident(s) inquiries according toâ¯levelâ¯of urgency and properly recordsâ¯detailâ¯of actions taken.Â
3.â¯â¯ â¯Verifiesâ¯accuracy of charges on move out balance, research inconsistencies, and makes any necessary corrections per the lease agreement.Â
4.â¯â¯ â¯Maintainsâ¯accuracy of resident personal demographic and confidential information (e.g., names, addresses, DOB, social security numbers, etc.); ensures compliance with any/all applicable contract terms, company policies and/or state/federal laws.Â
5.â¯â¯ â¯Communicatesâ¯and coordinates with other internalâ¯departmentsâ¯as necessary.Â
6.â¯â¯ â¯Completes projects, tasks, assignments, and other work that is unique to the department, follows departmental policies and procedures, and meet standards, metrics, and other benchmarks used within the department for evaluating performance and results.Â
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
⢠Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain data to team members and/or clients.
⢠Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, property management (Yardi or One Site), and database management programs in order to complete required reports.
⢠Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information.
⢠Demonstrated excellent customer service orientation, with a strong emphasis on understanding and applying proven customer care techniques and processes.
⢠Demonstrated strong research and analytic skills with the ability to apply skills in order to proactively identify and address issues.
⢠Demonstrated ability to work independently, under defined supervision, within a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
⢠Strong detail orientation, organizational and time management skills.
⢠Must be able to handle confidential and/or highly sensitive information within established guidelines or regulations applying the appropriate level of diplomacy, tact, discretion, and privacy.

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
Additional Compensation:
- Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
- Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
