Federated Hermes, Inc. is seeking an accountant with an interest in the financial services industry to join our Funds Financial Services’ Fund Expense Analysis team as a Staff Accountant.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field; or an Associate’s degree in business field (or equivalent) and three years of Federated experience required
Mutual fund industry experience preferred
Prior experience with financial services fund administration functions preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Review majority of invoices to ensure that only appropriate fund expenses are submitted to the service providers for payment by the funds. Ensure that invoices submitted are in accordance with contractual arrangements, where applicable.
Process, submit and track all invoices submitted to the custodian or corporate Accounts Payable for payment by the funds.
Coordinate resolution of invoice payment issues.
Compare invoices to contracts or fee agreements to verify invoice accuracy, where appropriate.
Prepare invoice allocation schedules.
Prepare regular and special fund expense reports and various other types of expense reporting as requested.
Prepare annual support schedules for approval and payment of the ICI dues and fund insurance expenses.
