About the Lori Holland Pathways Initiative for Women in Finance & Investment Management The Lori Holland Pathways Initiative for Women in Finance & Investment Management supports DePaul women students, alumni, and their allies who are interested in exploring and/or pursuing a career in finance. Through participation in this new, endowment supported initiative, students will have the opportunity to explore, learn, network, and engage with all areas of the financial services industry so that they may be successful in their professional and personal endeavors.
About this opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Career Readiness, the Program Coordinator will support the development and day to day operations of the Lori Holland Pathways Initiative for Women in Finance & Investment Management. With an emphasis on experience design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and metrics monitoring and reporting, this individual will play a key role in honoring the legacy of Lori Holland and connecting students to opportunities to explore and work towards achieving a career in finance and investment management.
What You'll Do:
In collaboration with the Senior Associate Director for Career Readiness, the Program Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Experience Design and Delivery - ? Coordinate the development and delivery of program workshops and events throughout the year; Program workshops and events will require schedule flexibility to allow for periodic staffing outside of normal business hours ? Collaborate with student organization and university partners on an annual, larger scale event ensuring attention to detail and the delivery of a high quality experience for attendees. ? Coordinate additional opportunities for participants to gain greater insight, connections and experiences related to the finance and investment management industry.
General Program Management - ? Play a central role in handling the day to day operations of the initiative, including promoting the program, responding to inquiries, handling issues or concerns as they arise, and event management. ? Coordinate the application and selection process for 3 initiative funded scholarship programs. ? Maintain a thorough understanding of career paths and trends in finance and investment management to inform all aspects of the initiative, including experience design, metrics, and student facing resources . ? Other initiative related duties as assigned..
Stakeholder Engagement - ? Collaborate with university partners, including admissions, financial aid, advancement, and others who have a stake in the initiative. ? Be a primary point of contact for students participating in the initiative. ? Act as a liaison with the DePaul chapter of Females in Finance.
Metrics Monitoring and Reporting - ? Monitor and implement necessary interventions to support student progress in and satisfaction with the initiative, as well as in their academic attainment at DePaul. ? Monitor and regularly report on additional metrics related to initiative finances, partner relationships, and initiative components. ? Produce quarterly updates and an annual report detailing initiative finances, programming, student experience, recommendations, etc
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree required; enrolled in a graduate program or master's degree preferred.
Experience in managing programs and events, which can include through a collegiate experience, is necessary.
An understanding of the finance and investment management industry along with associated career paths.
Program management experience preferred.
Experience with data analysis using Excel required; knowledge of Tableau a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as program events require.
