Position Function: Responsible for the accurate data collection, analysis and reporting of the university’s Active Employee and Retiree Health and Life Insurance Plans and related trusts. Perform data analysis, evaluate and provide support for recommended changes to the insurance premiums. Maintain the budget to actual financial performance of the plans. Provide support to the Director of Cash and Investments for university and trust investments including the payment of fees and ensuring the liquidity needs of the both are maintained. Reconcile custodial trust accounts for the Retiree Health and Life Insurance Plans, prepare the annual financial report OPEB (Other Postemployment Benefits Other Than Pensions) disclosures and prepare of the Fiduciary Activity financial statements.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience: At least two years of financial accounting, investment management, or audit experience.

Minimum Other: Practical experience with Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree; C.P.A. Knowledge of Banner accounting system; practical experience with Excel; experience working in a public university; knowledge of GASB 74 (Financial Reporting For Post-employment Benefit Plans Other Than Pension Plans) and 75 (Accounting and Financial Reporting for Post-employment Benefits Other Than Pensions).
