SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Financial Reporting and Operational Risk (FROR), to be responsible for preparing and reviewing daily risk reporting, monthly validation of administrator-produced NAV packages, monitoring of regulatory thresholds, and preparing the resultant regulatory filings. Will also support the tax preparation cycle and aid with the review of returns; maintain the operational due diligence cycle of external managers throughout the investment life cycle; analyze and distribute daily risk report for multi-billion-dollar investment partnership, noting any threshold breaches; validate management and incentive fees for separately managed accounts, funds of one, and other fund structures (e.g., hedge funds); support ad hoc requests related to underlying investments held by MIT, its affiliates, or the managers that advise MIT's assets; assist with reviewing monthly NAV packages, including capital activity, fees, and valuation; aid with preparing and reviewing regulatory filings (e.g., Form 13F-HR, TIC-SLT, BEA-185); collaborate with FROR team to migrate books and records from current fund administrator to a successor; help ensure workflows and outputs are improved under new administrator; facilitate analysis and marketing of closed-end fund positions for the secondary market; and identify opportunities to improve workflows/processes.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in accounting or related area; four years' accounting experience within financial services; understanding of hedge fund mechanics, investment management, and financial statements; advanced-level Excel skills and familiarity with data manipulation tools; strong data analysis, research, problem-solving, communication, and writing skills; and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize and adjust easily to shifting priorities; resolve ambiguous, complex, and multivariable problems; meet tight deadlines; work under pressure and with minimal supervision; and exercise independent and sound judgment.
