The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) is currently searching for a Chief Finance Officer. ADCES embraces a hybrid work model which means staff members will work from our downtown Chicago office a minimum of 2 days each week.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is a member of the senior management team, meeting regularly to strategize and lead the Association’s financial management plans and operational programs. CFO is responsible for overseeing Association assets and financial administration in accordance with Association bylaws. Coordinates development of annual operating plan and budget, financial reporting requirements, Treasury functions, banking relationships, and investment management.
CFO is also responsible for directing the Information Technology operations and overseeing a hub of internal and member facing systems used in the day-to-day operations of ADCES. Includes accounting system, association management system (AMS), learning management system and electronic communications. CFO oversees efforts to ensure continuity and availability of information systems, and appropriate risk management measures are being applied.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Master’s degree in related field of accounting, financial management, or business administration required.
A minimum of ten years of applicable experience in general management of finance and operations, with proven record of success in related areas of organizational oversight.
Prior staff supervisory experience essential.
CPA certification desired but not required.
CAE desired but not required.
