Bridge Industrial has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Counsel, Transactions.
Overview: The Counsel, Transactions will be responsible for assisting Bridge’s Head of Legal, Transactions with providing practical, commercial legal advice as it relates to Bridge’s industrial real estate acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and property management. Key responsibilities include managing and working with external counsel, drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating letters of intent, purchase agreements, commercial lease agreements, commercial loan documents, operating agreements, non-disclosure agreements, access agreements, and helping the organization develop and implement creative strategies for acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, partnerships, and the like. Counsel will have significant exposure to business leaders at Bridge and work closely with other legal department colleagues, senior leaders, and business executives in a collaborative, results oriented, nimble, entrepreneurial and positive business environment.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
Relocation: Yes, but local candidates preferred.
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least four (4) years of legal experience, ideally at a law firm and/or in a corporate legal department with strong, well-rounded experience in a broad range of real estate transactions. Prior in-house experience is not required.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois (or admitted to the Illinois Bar within a reasonable time following the commencement of the position).
