Proposal Specialist - Business Development

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Hybrid location (office/remote)

Federated Hermes, Inc., a leading global investment manager, is seeking a Proposal Specialist – Business Development to join our Proposal Team. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with our internal stakeholders in sales, investment management and subject matter experts (SMEs) to expand the client base of Federated Hermes by responding to Request For Proposals (RFPs) for new business opportunities.

What you can expect:

As a Proposal Specialist you will:

• Lead and manage proposals, including developing project plans and timelines to distribute to all relevant internal partners to meet client-driven deadlines
• Determine product suitability, positioning points, key strategies and themes customized for each proposal submission
• Build relationships with key stakeholders in product, investment management, marketing, sales and other key business units to create compelling, product specific and industry-related content to be delivered in proposals for new businesses

• Contribute to proposal content development and enhancements
• Ensure executive, legal and financial approval for institutional mandates as necessary

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, English, marketing, finance, or related experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant investment management experience or proposal experience
• Writing experience to include crafting and developing compelling written responses
• Experience managing large projects simultaneously ensuring efficient utilization of resources
