A new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Technology Risk Manager exists with Federated Hermes. The Technology Risk Manager is part of the Information Technology Division and works to implement and to oversee the on-going risk management processes. The risk management processes include risk assessments, issue oversight, policy creation/maintaining, and vendor risk management. This position provides leadership in developing, implementing and communicating items associated with the risk management process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the creation of and oversee the execution of a vendor risk management process. Process includes setting vendor expectations and ensuring vendor owner/liaisons are completing expected duties. Gaps are to be tracked and reported on to senior management.
- Conduct vendor, technology, and process-level risk assessments. Understand, document and define risks. Assist in defining risk probability and impact and determining the probability and impact scores. Assist in developing adequate remediation plans within acceptable timelines.
- Implement and update the framework policies and processes under which risk assessment and controls are conducted, including action items relevant schedules and deadlines.
- Guide and support IT risk committee by helping chairpersons compose agendas, maintain risk matrices and related action items, and by taking minutes, providing resources and other actions as necessary.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or relevant business area required
- Minimum 5 years of risk management experience including risk vendor management required
- Experience in developing and implementing a process for distilling complex data into a reportable format for senior management required
- Experience in data analysis and the identification and evaluation of risks and controls required
- Broad knowledge of technology and security control expectations required
HOURS/LOCATION:
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
- Warrendale Location – Warrendale, PA 15086 (Hybrid schedule)
