JOB SUMMARY
With minimal supervision, provides ongoing management of all phases of the financing process on behalf of clients. Leads transaction execution for financing opportunities. Supports the Head of Property and Fund Financing in executing on the goals and objectives for the Americas Direct Real Estate business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in defining the financing strategy to capitalize client investments in accordance with their mandate (e.g., provides transaction underwriting guidance and support, including highlighting key risks, defining loan sizing and other financing assumptions, recommendations for transaction sourcing process and lender selection).
Acts as lead transaction manager for client financing process. Oversees intermediary sourcing of actionable alternatives, directly negotiates the best business terms and conditions for a wide variety of commercial real estate and fund financing products, securing necessary approvals, and coordinates the closing process in collaboration with other team members and outside legal counsel.
Drafts and creates and collaborates on a large variety of analyses and relevant documents, including but not limited to: intermediary RFP's and selection, financing proposal comparison packages, required approvals and other client-specific needs.
Assists and supports the Head of Property and Fund Financing in implementing process standardization and makes recommendations for process improvements.
Takes a lead role in negotiating transactions on a direct and indirect basis, in coordination with clients and other key stakeholders.
Monitors and maintains a transaction tracking system to ensure timely transaction completion.
Facilitates the closing process including hand off to appropriate portfolio and asset management team members.
Provides transactional financial analysis support to the broader Transaction Management team and other key stakeholders.
Understands how to review, analyze, and interpret financial analysis templates including cash flow projections, NPV (net present value), and/or IRR (internal rate of return) financial analyses.
Facilitates the development of a robust client report package. Prepares and delivers effective presentations to relevant parties.
Assists with developing and maintaining reporting on the existing loan portfolio and transaction pipeline. Assists with review and oversight of periodic loan portfolio reporting and compliance packages.
Supports developing and managing strategic relationships with a wide range of debt financing sources, including banks, insurance companies and debt funds, and financing intermediaries.
Assists with providing guidance, training, leadership and support towards the development of junior team members.
