Federated Hermes Internship Program provides students the opportunity to gain “hands on” experience and develop professional skills as well as the ability to network with talented professionals and gain insight into career possibilities within the asset management industry. The program includes a variety of events designed to enhance the internship experience, provide participants with information about Federated Hermes and foster collaboration among their cohort.
Purpose of the Internship:
Provide day to day, timely delivery of high-quality investment and portfolio data to investment professionals, clients and vendors. Collect, analyze, calculate and report information that is critical to the operations of the firm. This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in two of the following: Enterprise Data Operations, Portfolio Operations, Global Trade Services, and Trading Operations.
Major Duties:
- Monitor investment and portfolio data maintained in Federated Hermes’ data warehouse(s)
- Reconcile daily security pricing, portfolio market values and cash flows
- Provide daily investment management cash availability
- Assist in the production and revision of derivatives contracts with counterparties
- Track trades through the settlement process
- Monitor derivatives transactions including collateral management
Hours/location:
- Full-time summer schedule working 37.5 hours/week and part-time school year schedule working 15-20 hours/week. Work hours will be flexible based on student’s schedule.

Position Specifications:
- Pursuing or willing to pursue a college degree required; pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in business or related major preferred.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred
- Interest in the investment industry
