Work with top tier asset managers in the industry to implement investment solutions
Define requirements, identify gaps, and drive scalable solutions to solve client's pressing problems
Develop custom technical solutions using a variety of APIs, programming languages, and tools, leveraging industry best practices and support from business subject matter experts
Directly leading technical workstreams and/or small development teams within the context of a larger project, including building strong and effective relationships with business stakeholders
Comfort working with international teams in an onshore/offshore model
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
Must be willing and able to travel up to 80%, depending on client requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of technical experience at an investment firm, consulting firm, or financial software company. Hands-on experience implementing investment management software is desirable
Experience with investment management systems (i.e. Bloomberg AIM, Charles River IMS, BlackRock Aladdin, SCD). CRD experience is a plus
Proficient programming skills for designing and developing custom interfaces, plugins, and services to support investing workflows
Preferred development languages are Java, C#, SQL, and scripting languages like PowerShell and Windows batch. Experience integrating with CRD's APIs is a plus
Experience using ETL tools, ideally Pentaho Data Integration (also known as Kettle)
Experience in Agile teams utilizing CI/CD and DevOps models. Comfortable with the SDLC and change management
Experience with business requirements gathering, project management, and user testing management
The ideal candidate can react to a changing investment management atmosphere, rejoices in challenging situations, and is able to operate equally well as both a teammate and a self-starter
Track record of working in a collaborative, team-based environment to solve business challenges and drive change in large organizations
Education/Certification:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a finance-related field
Technical, Industry, and/or Project Management certifications are a plus
