Work with top tier asset manager's in the industry implementing investment solutions
Research industry solutions and best practices. Prepare findings and present to client's executive level teams
Define requirements, identify gaps, and drive scalable solutions to solve client's pressing problems
Work with technical resources to help design solutions to meet client's objectives within their unique processes and environment
Directly lead workstreams and/or small teams within the context of a larger project, including building strong and effective business relationships
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing (e.g., MS PowerPoint)
Produce strategic thought leadership within the investment management domain
Must be willing and able to travel up to 80%, depending on client requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience at an investment firm or consulting firm. Hands-on experience implementing investment management software is desirable
Subject matter expertise in investment management, wealth management, real estate, private equity and similar sub-areas within financial services
Experience with investment management systems (i.e. Bloomberg AIM, Charles River IMS, BlackRock Aladdin, SCD). CRD is a plus
Knowledge of the full order life-cycle, diverse investment strategies, complex derivatives and trading compliance is preferred
Experience with business requirements gathering, project management and user testing management
Understanding of different project methodologies, Agile, SDLC, etc
Ability to promote discussions with clients, analyze and decipher problems, develop solutions and classify challenges in the project environment
The ideal candidate can react to a changing investment management atmosphere, rejoices in challenging situations and is able to operate equally well as both a teammate and a self-starter
Track record of working in a collaborative, team-based environment to solve business challenges and drive change in large organizations
Education/Certification:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Investments preferred
Industry and/or Project Management certifications are a plus
