REAL ESTATE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT ANALYST/ASSOCIATE , MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Real Estate Group-Portfolio Management , to join the Portfolio Management group in a high visibility position working closely with senior management. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining complex asset-level and portfolio financial models to analyze various operational and capital events; synthesizing asset-level data to derive key characteristics and risks of the portfolio as a whole; managing reporting needs; contributing to key discussions regarding overall portfolio investment strategies and performance enhancements; aiding with annual appraisals and valuation processes and calculating key asset and portfolio performance metrics/trends; and completing ad hoc tasks.
MITIMCo is a leading investment management firm that invests exclusively on behalf of MIT to support its educational and research mission. Its Real Estate Group serves as an owner, operator, and developer of a high-profile real estate portfolio located exclusively in Cambridge, MA. The portfolio (with a current gross market value of $4B) is expected to grow significantly over the coming decade through an exciting, mixed-use development pipeline of over 3 million square feet.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; two years' experience in real estate, investment banking, investment sales, finance, or related field; comprehensive knowledge of real estate fundamentals and value drivers; understanding of real estate finance modeling techniques (DCF, NPV, IRR, cap rates); excellent quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; advanced-level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; self-motivation and initiative; and attention to detail.
