The Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation (PPHF) has an immediate opening for an Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation to support the vision, mission, values, policies, and procedures of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care (PPHPC), Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation and Care Synergy.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00a– 5:00p, Nights/weekends may be required for various marketing and community outreach events.
Annual Pay Range: $102,128 - $137,860
As an organization, new hires for this role are typically starting no higher than the midpoint of $119,994.00 per year. New hires are placed into a salary grade based on education, experience and equity within a position. Please note that compensation ranges are intended to be a good faith estimate of a likely hiring range for this position.

The Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, abides by and actively supports the vision, mission, values, policies, and procedures of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation and Care Synergy. Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, has overall responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day affairs, direction and management of the Foundation; is responsible for the oversight of fund raising activities with foundation/trust and corporate grant writing, prospect research, and managing all PPHF mailings. The Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation in, collaboration with organizational leadership and Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation Board of Trustees establishes, implements, and evaluates strategy for the organization that meets and promotes the standards of quality care and contributes to the total success of the Foundation and Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
The Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, is responsible and accountable to meet or exceed the Foundation’s fundraising goals and strategic objectives. The Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements as set out in federal and state laws and regulations. The Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, represents Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation on a local, state and national level. The success of the Executive Director, Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, will be measured by his/her ability to lead the operational and financial affairs of Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PIKES PEAK HOSPICE FOUNDATION
Oversees the preparation of the operating budget of the Foundation, and any capital needs of PPHPC in collaboration with the President of PPHPC, for approval by the Foundation Board of Trustees and PPHPC Board of Directors. Monitors, manages and publish monthly financial and other key performance metrics/data in a timely fashion in order to allow PPHPC and its Leadership Team to effectively manage their scope of business.
Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards current and prospective donors and stakeholders through Grant writing, sponsorships, memorials, publications, and face-to-face meetings.
Creates and implements gifting tools to achieve fundraising goals and honors the rights of donors.
Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with third parties, other health care providers, and vendors to ensure the success of the organization. Forms appropriate relationships with patient family contacts, individuals and businesses in order to cultivate, steward, and solicit funds. Speaks to community organizations and represents Foundation at community functions and related organizations. Maintains a visible role and active engagement in appropriate Industry, Professional and Community organizations and functions.
Learns and masters fundraising software applications appropriate to the needs of the Foundation.
Oversees PR Firm to plan, write, and edit agency literature related to all organization activities in collaboration with the President of PPHPC. Works closely with the Care Synergy Director of Marketing and Communications to achieve intended Enterprise standards for PR, Marketing and agency branding. Accountable for meeting timelines of Foundation solicitations.
Accountable for an effective donor appreciation and acknowledgement process.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE WORK:
Works with BOT to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors. Attends/manages all committee meetings of Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation Board of Trustees, and as appropriate, attends PPHPC Board of Director meetings, and other senior leadership meetings and trainings.
Oversees the BOT Investment Committee Meeting, working with Investment Manager and Committee members within the scope of the current Investment Policy Statement to ensure appropriate investment, management and distribution of funds.

Five (5) years’ supervisory experience in a fund development position for a foundation with assets in excess of $5 million
Foundation and corporate grant writing
Direct mail (fundraising)
Knowledge of the fundraising process, including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
Preferred Education/Experience: Master’s Degree.
Experience as an Executive Director preferred
In-depth knowledge in area of specialty related to hospice and palliative care
Required License: Colorado State Driver’s License
Additional Requirements: Adequate transportation to complete job responsibilities in a timely manner. Completion of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care agency orientation, basic skills training, and departmentalized specialized/skills training.
