For more information about the firm please visit our website at www.Nuveen.com Appraisal/Valuation Associate Under the supervision of a more senior team member, this position is responsible for appraisal assignment engagement with third-party appraisal vendors, process management and appraisal administration, and review of appraisal reports primarily related to commercial real estate properties. Understand the scope of a particular assignment, engage specific third-party consultants, review appraisal reports in detail, and report value conclusions for final approval. Solicit and collect bids for appraisal services from qualified approved fee appraisers. Engage fee appraisers to perform appraisal services as needed. Reviews of third-party and internal appraisal reports under the direction of senior members of the Appraisal Team. Regularly conduct independent research. Frequent interaction with members of Asset Management. Assist in the updating of processes and procedures that incorporate the required level of controls, while delivering well supported valuations as required for specific accounts/funds.

2 Years Required; 3 Years Preferred University (Degree), Preferred 2 years or more of Commercial Real Estate and/or valuation experience Argus Software experience MBA in Finance, CFA, CPA or the Appraisal Institute Review Specialist designation a plus. Appraisal Institute course work for a minimum designation of General Review Specialist Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
