The Affluent Segment Leader is responsible for influencing and leading the success of Wells Fargo's Affluent Customer Strategy (ACS). Success is defined through our four focus areas of Customer Experience, Team Member Experience, Risk Management and Growth. Success also includes building a strong regional partnership between Community Banking and Wealth and Investment Management, as well as other key partner businesses such as Business Banking, Home Mortgage (and Private Mortgage Banking) and Wells Fargo Insurance.

Key areas of focus for the Affluent Segment Leader role:
Facilitate partnerships with Wealth and Investment Management, Business Banking, Private Mortgage, Home Mortgage, and other key business partners.
Conduct regular meetings with premier bankers, involving key partners as appropriate.
Serve as the subject matter expert on affluent segment tools and resources.
Encourage and, as appropriate, facilitate ongoing premier banker learning and development.
Coordinate regularly with branch managers, district managers, region bank presidents, and Wealth and Investment Management partners to maintain affluent focus and drive the affluent strategy.
Meet on a regular basis with Community Bank leadership to review performance trends and partnership opportunities.
Support the career development of premier bankers by partnering with their branch manager to ensure a robust development plan is created and discussed regularly.
Coordinate and partner with the affluent field development director to recommend and skill development activities and curriculum for premier bankers to ensure they are developing proficiency in their role.
Share learning and elevate segment awareness through education
Develop plans and support the execution of premier bankers helping branch managers to develop the skill set of the other bankers within their branch.
Manage risk effectively.
The Affluent Segment Leader will work closely with their Regional Affluent Segment Director to share regional insights and ensure knowledge of and alignment with national priorities.
5+ years of experience in performance coaching, performance management, or a combination of both in the financial services industry
A BS/BA degree or higher
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
Ability to foster effective partnerships
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of the retail banking environment and affluent client markets
Experience in coaching and influencing management, as well as experience with the affluent or high net worth customer segment
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Registration for FINRA Series 7 and 63 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.
For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
