The CFO is responsible for the preparation and evaluation of financial reporting to furnish information to the CEO on a regular basis. This individual must also manage tax liabilities and reporting in an accurate and timely manner. The CFO must accomplish department objectives by supervising the staff and monitoring the work processes of the Finance, Asset, and Leasing Teams.

Create and update budgets accurately on a regular basis
Prepare monthly personal and company comparative financial statements
Evaluate entity balance sheets on a monthly basis and adjust accounts as needed
Update cash planning tools including global cash flow reports, weekly cash flow projections, weekly cash positions, as well as loan maturities and early payoffs of loans along with funded and related interest savings
Provide analysis of financial metrics and investment management
Analyze financial statements submitted by tenants and general contractors
Interact with bankers regarding financial information provided
Review settlement sheets
Review project budgets and pro formas for accuracy, recommend modifications when needed
Examine and coordinate tax returns including K-1s
Prepare state tax forms when applicable
Compute gain on sale and maintain contemporaneous schedules
Prepare Arizona speculative builder tax forms when applicable
Maintain a contemporaneous schedule of estimated tax liabilities
Formulate various calculations and furnish entity financial information to the CEO as requests are received
Respond to correspondence from various tax authorities and banks
Assist with processing construction draws on a regular basis
Assist team members with questions as needed
Support the annual audit process to ensure all GAAP principles are met on a regular basis

Required Education, Experience, Licenses
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business and advanced professional studies in CPA required
Five years’ experience in commercial real estate, including construction draws, required
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as calendar management and general technology is required
Experience with Mac iOS is a plus
Valid Driver’s License
