PARALEGAL , MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) , to play a vital role on MITIMCo's legal team, supporting contracts administration for both the Global Investment Legal and Real Estate Legal teams. Responsibilities include reviewing legal contracts and approvals; processing documents through execution and filing procedures; entering investment, real estate, and vendor contract terms and conditions in relevant software systems and communicating with legal staff to ensure appropriate compliance and monitoring; partnering in the formation and maintenance of MIT legal entities used for real estate and global investment purposes; organizing and supporting data management and tracking deadlines; responding to in-person/digital inquiries regarding the status of legal documents; file management; and preparing, distributing, and collecting anti-money laundering and related documents and tax forms.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate; at least five years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department/office; track record of producing high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with frequent deliverables; experience working with legal documents in investment management and/or real estate management/development; excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; high-level proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; initiative; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; meticulous attention to detail; comfort juggling and building relationships with multiple stakeholders at varying levels; and discretion and sound judgment with confidential information. Must be able set priorities, juggle multiple activities simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines; work under pressure and with frequent interruptions; adjust easily to shifting priorities; suggest and implement improvements/refinements to improve the overall effectiveness of a team; and resolve complex problems in a thorough and timely manner.
