GIFT OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE , Resource Development-Office of Gift Planning , to serve as a customer service oriented operations coordinator and gift administrator for planned gifts. The primary responsibilities for this position include administering life income gifts, including preparing life income fund proposals and all documents related to the closure of gifts; identifying, interpreting, and preparing legal and gift information documents and synthesizing and interpreting data in order to compile customized reports; working closely with donors, prospects, advisors, staff, MIT Treasurer's office, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo), and TIAA Kaspick to facilitate gift transactions and prepare gift agreements, tax calculations, and acknowledgments; and responding to inquiries; drafting correspondence related to life income plans. Will report to the assistant director, gift planning operations.
REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree; at least two years' relevant experience; fundamental understanding or high aptitude for understanding planned giving vehicles; excellent customer service, interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills; discretion and good judgment with confidential information and when communicating with colleagues and constituents; proficiency with FileMaker, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word; and familiarity and ease with database management and systems operations. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under deadline pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; direct the effective implementation of tasks in a high-pressure environment; an work both independently and as part of a team. Directly related experience in planned giving, development, banking, and/or legal or financial services is preferred. Familiarity with PG CALC software also preferred. Job #17764-6
