The Investor Reporting Department provides internal and external financial and performance information on funds and assets. The Performance Reporting Analyst is responsible for performance returns and reporting requirements to the Investor. This professional should possess high standards of accuracy, completeness, compliance, and thoroughness in all aspects of reporting. S/he must be able to work effectively and efficiently in an entrepreneurial environment given the array of client and consultant requests.
Provide performance return for quarterly financial reports in accordance to GIPS (r) Standards
Confirm accuracy of financial data required for performance returns in Yardi.
Calculate quarterly client performance returns using Yardi Investment Management software and excel.
Maintain and update database of property attributes in Yardi.
Ensure performance processes and procedures are appropriately documented and followed.
Provide performance results and statistical data for all reporting packages.
Provide performance returns for RFPs as needed.
Responsible for be-spoke reporting such as client and consultant questionnaires. Maintain log of incoming and outgoing questionnaires.
Respond to information requests from independent public accounting firms representing investors.
Provide performance related data and forecast results for the annual business plans, client presentations and other requests as needed.
Create and maintain Yardi system reports and write ad-hoc queries.
Validate performance calculations as a result of system upgrade.
Perform other Investor Reporting duties as needed.
Confirm accuracy and consistency of data for MSCI benchmark and attribution.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have:
Undergraduate degree in business, preferably in finance or accounting.
Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training.
Computer literacy, strong knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Yardi system a big plus.
Knowledge of NCREIF and MSCI Real Estate performance indices and return calculation methodologies.
Understanding of accrual accounting and financial statements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple assignments and stringent deadlines.
Self directed, able to work independently and seek out help as needed.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong people skills, must be helpful and responsive with clients and co-workers.
