LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE TEAM ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT,MIT Investment Management Company-Legal and Compliance Department , to assist with the day-to-day administration/workflow of the department; support all members of the team in servicing the legal needs of MITIMCo operations, global investment staff, the real estate team, and the illiquid gifts and estates officer; and provide support to the accounting and finance team on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include assisting with data management and tracking deadlines; reviewing legal contracts and approvals utilizing MITIMCo-approved forms/review checklists; moving documents through execution and filing procedures; monitoring/directing the team's electronic and physical mail; supporting the creation of matter profiles for new investments, real estate transactions, and trusts and estates; entering investment, real estate and vendor contract terms and conditions (T&C) in relevant software systems and communicating with staff to ensure appropriate compliance and monitoring; assisting with the coordination of corporate entity registration for outside vendors used for real estate and investment management purposes; monitoring the legal and compliance calendar; downloading, distributing, and filing documents from external investment manager portals; preparing, distributing, and collecting anti-money laundering and related documents and tax forms; performing general administrative tasks/functions; and providing overflow support to MITIMCo administrative assistants.
REQUIRED : at least five years' related experience; strong Microsoft Office skills; track record of supporting a number of attorneys in a dynamic working environment; experience with legal documents, investment management, and real estate management/development; good judgment; strong communication and writing skills; ability to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and adjust easily to shifting priorities; meticulous attention to detail; and respect for confidentiality.
