The newly formed Portfolio Implementation Team (“PIT”) is responsible for equity trade order entry for separate equity and balanced accounts. The Portfolio Implementation Associate will focus on trade order entry in individual taxable accounts for the Private Client Group and will provide back up support to the PIT for institutional separate accounts. The PIT partners closely with Client Portfolio Managers, Client Service Associates and other groups as needed.
Primary responsibilities include:
Implement Private Client Group Investment Committee (PCIC) policy decisions via trade order generation in separately-managed, individual client accounts
Review portfolios following client account investment guidelines and/or restrictions
Monitor account cash levels and manage incoming and outgoing cash flows by executing transactions
Collaborate with Client Portfolio Managers and Client Service Associates to execute portfolio implementation of new accounts, prepare portfolio review/analysis for client meetings, trade order entry for closing accounts, and analyze and recommend low-basis securities for charitable gifting.
Execute tax loss harvesting strategies as determined by the Client Portfolio Manager and the PCIC
Create ad hoc reports on client portfolios that includes gains/losses and odd stock monitoring
Establish a strategic plan with Client Portfolio Managers to transition accounts towards the PCIC model portfolio
Analyze portfolio characteristics and attribution
Design and enhance portfolio implementation analytics

Candidates for this role should have:
B.A or B.S. degree with a strong academic record
Five years of trading taxable accounts
Working knowledge of the asset management industry and compliance regulations
Strong understanding of the securities markets and experience with trading, operational, and mutual fund environments
Knowledge of custodian and investment account processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the desire to work in a team-oriented environment
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
