Position Summary: The Investment Performance Manager will report to the Director of Data Management and will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Office as well as external vendors and partners. The Office of the Chief Investment Officer seeks a Manager that is able to implement a well-organized, data and process driven, well controlled analytical environment.
An important job aspect for the Manager is the collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Data Management in building and executing a strategy to provide performance and analytical support to the investment and reporting teams.

Duty 10: Own the investment performance function for all assets under management at the OCIO. This includes: -Ensuring that returns are calculated, stored, and reported correctly across all products, asset classes, and investment levels. -Maintaining historical and current composition of benchmarks across products, asset classes, and individual managers. -Maintain class schemes, structures, performance composites and carve-outs. -Maintaining audit trail of overwritten performance results, as necessary to overcome accounting errors and omissions. -Improving data and returns reconciliation processes using best practice and technologies. -Handling on-boarding and off-boarding of products, portfolios, and investment managers in the performance reporting system(s).
The position is expected to deliver high quality timely work output. The Manager is expected to be able to provide analysis and recommendation on resolving performance issues based on principles from the Global Investment Performance Standards. Duty 20: - Provide investment teams transparency into how value added is generated. - Product Leads - Total Portfolio Decision Attribution - Public Equity ? Country/Sector/Factors - Fixed Income ? FI models - Private Assets - Contribution to Return - Explain attribution figures to stakeholders. - Continuously improve methodologies and processes for attribution. For example: Attribution by Dollar Value. Function:Performance Attribution Percent: 20
Duty 30: - Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects; - Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; - Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all stakeholders; - Manage the development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress; and - Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. - May lead a team of experienced analysts. Function:Project Management Percent: 20
Duty 40: - Review performance reports prior to sending to internal and external clients. - Develop and maintain list and format of internal and external reports. - Send and maintain current distribution list of performance report recipients. - Improve reporting efficiencies. Function:Reporting Percent: 20
Duty 50: - Provide What-If and non-standard performance related support as necessary. - Manage vendor relationships. - Manage and mentor direct report(s). Function:Ad Hoc Percent: 10
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and a minimum of eight (8) years of job related experience and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the demonstrated ability to articulate ideas and issues clearly, concisely, and persuasively to a variety of audiences and prepare and/or edit complex reports involving logical and quantitative analysis, so that it is clearly understandable by both technical and lay readers and effectively advances and justifies a specific proposal or set of recommendations. Required
Ability to clearly articulate investment process and results to the Chief Operating Officer in a timely fashion. Required
Demonstrated proficiency at relationship management and the ability to build and utilize extensive personal network of industry contacts to share industry best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercise discretion and tact, and gain consensus in an environment where others may have strongly conflicting ideas and goals.
Ability to function as a member of a team. Required
