The Role: This Senior Administrative Assistant will directly support and report to the Head of Product and Performance, which is a key division of BNY Mellon's Investment Management businesses. The individual in this role will perform a full range of advanced, diversified administrative functions for the Head of Product and Performance, typically of a responsible and confidential nature and requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skills and knowledge of organization policies and practices. Responsibilities include - but are not limited to - composing written correspondence; producing reports and presentation materials as needed; organizing events and seminars as needed; and coordinating resources for projects of moderate complexity.
Because this Senior Administrative Assistant will have corporate-level visibility across many levels of the organization - at senior executive and senior manager levels, and potentially with external clients - the individual in this role will need to be articulate and sensitive to the culture and diversity of the audience. In addition, he or she will need to be well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, manage priorities, and establish and meet deadlines. Moreover, this Senior Administrative Assistant should have strong math skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling meetings for the Head of Product and Performance and his direct reports by utilizing Microsoft Outlook
Collaborate with other Investment Management Administrative Assistants on the completion of core department processes such as performance reviews, vacation tracking, etc.
Coordinate the scheduling of events such as town halls and strategy off-site meetings
Arrange travel itineraries and coordinate travel arrangements, including booking travel tickets and settlement of related expenses
Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and other correspondence by utilizing Microsoft Word
Screen telephone calls and/or emails and use independent judgment to resolve routine and complex inquiries
Maintain and order office supplies
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
At least a High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 6 years of experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
