British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC) has launched a transformation strategy requiring improvements to business processes and technology. The Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) has oversight of the governance, selection and delivery of projects to execute this multi-year transformation effort. The Program Manager reports to the Head of PMO and forms part of a small team focused on this transformation. The Program Manager is responsible for program management and oversight, program governance, analysis and communication. The Program Manager consults with staff at all levels and in all departments of bcIMC and works closely with Enterprise Architecture, project teams, other internal professionals and external suppliers to deliver results.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Project Management role; at least 5 years’ focused on Program Management
Experience within the asset management or financial services industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant discipline
Proficiency managing large project portfolios with competing priorities
Familiarity creating operational strategies and operational models, based on corporate strategy
Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a complex business environment
Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence peers, managers and senior leaders, and executives
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills
Creative thinker with the ability to define innovative yet practical solutions
Highly detail oriented
Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed
Results oriented ownership mentality
PMP or other PMI designation
Familiarity with key technologies and vendor-based services used to support asset management
