Overview: This is a senior position in Vulcan’s Legal Department reporting directly to the EVP and General Counsel. The Deputy General Counsel, Litigation, is responsible for managing those corporate counselors of the Vulcan Legal team that focus on litigation, disputes, and regulatory issues, as well as including employment, intellectual property and investment management. These efforts span the entire range of Vulcan’s legal activities being performed in its various business units. In conjunction with the EVP General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel, the Deputy General Counsel, Litigation will provide legal advice to Vulcan’s founder and to Vulcan and its affiliates, manage Vulcan’s relationships with outside law firms domestically and abroad, and interface with in-house counsel at affiliates such as the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers. The position will have a high degree of interaction with Vulcan’s leadership team and founder.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience, base and bonus.
Experience: Minimum fifteen years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience in litigation, ideally including exposure to issues in intellectual property, employment, regulatory matters, and investment management. Significant experience managing a law department or legal team is required.

Bar: Washington State Bar Association admission in good standing required.
