Directs the school’s non-academic operations including its financial planning, budgeting and accounting practices, human resources including employee benefits, risk management, facilities & grounds through the School’s Facilities Manager, health & safety administration, endowment/investment management, summer programs and food service, through food service independent contractor FLIK, Independent School Dining Services. Also involved with overseeing technology in conjunction with Head of School. Has a twelve-month work year in which weekly work hours may exceed forty hours. Presence required at on- and off-campus meetings, school functions, various school committees (including Finance, Benefits, Investment, Financial Aid, Health & Safety among others) and Board meetings. Works closely with members of Board of Trustees on various projects and committees. Exempt, top-level administrative position. The Director of Finance supervises a staff of three – Assistant Director of Finance/Human Resources, Assistant Director of Finance/Operations, and a Facilities Manager. Candidates should have three to five years of experience in a similar position.

About Tenacre Country Day School
Tenacre School is a small, co-educational day school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Six. Our mission is "to nurture and challenge each child, every day." Tenacre enrolls 193 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grade, and has a teaching staff of 35. There are two teachers in every homeroom, plus special subject teachers for science, Spanish, art, technology, library, music, PE, and Spanish. Tenacre also has resource teachers for reading and math, a learning consultant and a technology coordinator. We have our own custodial/maintenance staff and also have our own food service staff. Supporting the operation of the school are the academic, admission/enrollment, business and development offices.
Tenacre has a warm, friendly work environment. All staff are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities throughout the year, from community service projects with students, or acting in an annual faculty/staff play, to talking with the students about a hobby or trip during an assembly, or even attending "tadpole graduation" with the 3rd Grade in the Spring!
