We have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Officer in our New York office. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for assisting the Chief Compliance Officer ("CCO") in various regulatory compliance matters. This role requires knowledge and application of Anti-Money Laundering & Know Your Customer requirements; managing compliance projects for the team and assisting with reporting requirements, both locally and globally.
Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering – Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), OFAC/Sanctions related regulations and their impact on investment advisers.
Participate in the ongoing review of alerts received from the Adviser's third party KYC/AML vendor, Thomson Reuters/World Check and the Group monitoring tools.
Identify compliance risks within BNPP AM USA and ensure such risks are effectively mitigated with appropriate controls.
Assist client relationship managers with Group KYC requirements.
Provide compliance related training to employees.
Coordinate, prepare and participate in client due diligence reviews.
Review marketing materials and prospectuses.
Assist with Compliance's participation in SSAE 16 audit and coordination of team's responses. Draft risks/ controls language as they relate to the Investment Advisers Act Policies & Procedures/COE for testing by auditors. Provide proof of compliance with the written risks/controls.
Assist in periodic regulatory reporting to the Securities Exchange Commission, Commodities Futures Trading Commission, National Futures Association, foreign regulators and state lobbying bodies.
Prepare intra-Group reports on the status of internal control plans and the effectiveness of these controls.
Assist with compliance monitoring and testing of compliance policies and procedures and processes. . Ideal Personal Profile:

Academic Background and Experience:
Working knowledge of investment advisory environment and its associated risks and internal controls is required.
Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Client experience related to U.S. investment advisers.
Strong computer skills; with advanced skills in Excel.
Proficiency in French a plus, but not required.
