SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Operations Department, to be responsible for managing large scale, cross-functional projects. Responsibilities include leading and successfully delivering complex, high priority projects, i.e. software implementations, data restructuring, systems integrations, report development, etc.; documenting and managing project planning, i.e., timelines, governance, budgeting, scheduling, raising early warning flags, issue resolution, analytics, and reporting; developing ideas to solve business problems or shaping ideas received from stakeholders; taking projects from ideation through business analysis, technical specifications, quality assurance, delivery, transition to line-operation, documentation, and user trainings; and mentoring others and offering various problem-solving tools to guide people, processes, and outcomes.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or related area; at least eight years' experience in the investment management industry including managing projects through the entire life cycle; domain expertise across the investment operations space with special focus on reference data, settlements, and clearing; eight-plus years' investment business knowledge of end-to-end processes (custody, accounting, post trade compliance, performance, etc.); experience with full-lifecycle technology and process change, including hands-on work with technology groups and IT implementations; exposure to multiple modes of visualization methods to deliver information to users; proven vendor management experience (contracts/sourcing, negotiation, delivery, resourcing) and experience successfully completing complex deliveries with interfacing teams across different departments; proven experience managing scope where requirements and priorities could be dynamic; ability to work independently under pressure and to tight deadlines; ability to influence others and build relationships in diverse environments; and experience using and comfort staying current with key foundational project management tools to enable effective program status reporting, performance reporting, and project dashboards.
