Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
Advanced knowledge of applicable operations functions, the firm and the securities industry required
Comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization required (i.e. fund accounting, pricing, corporate actions, compliance etc.)
Experience with financial service software required (i.e. Bloomberg, Charles River, Electra, IBOR, XSP, Vermilion, Eagle)
Support, analyze, and maintain investment and portfolio data.
Support day to day delivery of high quality data to all investment professionals, clients and contacts.
Provide oversight to all teams in Investment Management Operations and Investment Management Administration.
Responsible for managing, delegating, collecting, analyzing, reporting and testing all requests and inquires in the operation teams.
Assist in the review, testing, enhancing and implementing of new procedures and/or processes resulting from reengineering, new initiatives, increased quality control, or as mandated by corporate policy.
Assist and participate in streamlining operation processes to reduce risks, improve efficiency and build capacity in Investment Management Operations.
Work with team and management to produce risk management reports and metrics reports
Ensure integrity of data to support investment management operations including but not limited to: security data, accounting entries, compliance rules and related data, corporate actions, performance analysis, client service, and trading operations.
Make moderate to complex changes to operation work flow, understanding the impact of work flow and date changes on Investment Management Operations teams and applicable systems.
Perform and document periodic audits of analyst and associate functions to measure adherence to operational policies and procedures.
Interact daily with Investment Management professionals, trading, technical support as well as external clients and contacts, vendors or service providers regarding operation procedures and processes.
Assist in researching, authoring and presenting training sessions for team members and other Federated areas as assigned.
Complete special projects as assigned.
