This position is accountable for investment analysis and operational management for reserve and pension portfolios for the Company and its subsidiaries. The position will be responsible for mentoring junior analysts and developing thoughtful investment analysis in key asset classes. Individual will be performing investment and operational due diligence on investment managers as well as support ad hoc analysis. Individual will be required to take a lead role in managing investment risk quantification for ORSA and other stakeholders.
Coordinate trading, funds transfer and settlement activities
Act as interface to custodians, consultants and portfolio managers in order to execute trades, settle trades, review account activity and communicate investment guidelines or policy changes
Perform investment and operational due diligence on investment managers
Project and monitor investment income on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Perform and oversee various reporting requirements related to the investment portfolio
Manage investment deliverables to various internal and external parties such as SOC 1 reporting, OTTI analysis, reporting packages, etc.
Develop research on new assets classes to support investment committee
Create risk screens for various holdings in portfolios to identify securities that should be monitored on a watch list
Analyze manager attribution analysis to determine whether or not managers are generating alpha and determine the source of alpha or sources of underperformance
Requires in depth knowledge of investment/asset servicing activities
Ability to utilize various financial reporting systems including custodial platforms and investment accounting systems
Understanding of Bloomberg and ability to use Bloomberg API is a plus
Advanced MS Excel skills are required and knowledge of VBA is a plus
Ability to work with databases and data sets in a variety of formats
Broad knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting is a plus

Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting or Economics Prefer MBA
Requires a minimum of four (4) years experience in investment analysis, investment management, treasury operations, or investment accounting
