The Corporate Accountant position provides vital information and support for the corporate accounting and operations function. Responsibilities include:
1. Payroll, accounts payable, and expense system processing 2. Operating company cash management, reconciliations, and maintenance of general ledger 3. Record keeping for deferred compensation plans 4. Monitoring of corporate bank accounts 5. Financial, operating budget, tax reporting, and audit responsibilities 6. General support to corporate operations 7. Ad hoc reporting and special project work
The successful candidate has thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, general ledger, journal entries and reconciliations. Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and expense reimbursement processing, and fixed asset accounting preferred. Able to work with a high degree of accuracy, execute/complete routine and established projects and analyses with limited supervision. Detail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and able to manage multiple activities accurately and effectively. Flexible in a fast-paced environment with evolving reporting requirements and job responsibilities. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to quickly learn new technology. Able to communicate and collaborate with all staff levels.
Additionally, the candidate should have: 1. Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in accounting, business administration, or finance and one year related professional work experience, or equivalent combination of college education and professional experience are required. 2. Proficiency in accounting and reporting software and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required 3. Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Concur strongly preferred 4. CPA designation or progress towards preferred
