Silver Creek is seeking a Data Engineer focused on building and maintaining analytical systems for the purpose of analyzing and monitoring a diverse array of alternative asset strategies with a particular focus on quantitative strategies.
Primary responsibilities will include, among other things, the following activities:
Streamline, standardize and automate risk and exposure data acquisition and analytical processes inclusive of executing risk and exposure data gathering process
Build and maintain data warehouse for above categories as well as manager, index and factor return streams
Maintain and enhance existing proprietary quantitative analytical tool. Evaluate whether there is a better software solution for desired tool functionality.
Assist team in developing quantitative investment models and other quantitative analytical tools & programs
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field. Other academic backgrounds considered if candidate meets role’s required capabilities.
Additional candidate requirements include:
Fluency in SQL & Python
Capabilities in any of the following are a plus: VBA, R, Shiny or D3
Experience in the alternative investment management industry or understanding is a plus, but must have at least some interest in financial markets
Team player with a desire to participate in an entrepreneurial firm culture and eagerness to assume multiple tasks
Ability to self-manage multiple projects and tasks on tight timelines
