SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
ANNUAL PAY RANGE: $225,000.00 - $275,000.00
BONUS: Eligible for relocation, short and long-term incentive plans
EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT: Sixty-two and a half cents per mile – one of the highest in the industry!

REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO:
Position is responsible and accountable for the financial affairs of Care Synergy and all its Affiliates (under the governing of Care Synergy). Effectively and efficiently leveraging technology and people to meet the leadership, management and oversight needs for all of Care Synergy’s business lines and their respective Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Budgeting, Payroll, Audit, Tax, Investment and Treasury Services, as well as business line analytics and business intelligence functions, reporting and strategies (hospice, home care, palliative care, PACE, CAPABLE, Wellness, etc..).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Oversees and ensures the finance, accounting, revenue cycle, budgeting, payroll, audit, tax, investment, and treasury services, as well as analytics and business line reporting and intelligence, have the proper technology, operational systems and internal controls, administrative procedures, reporting and talent management/development processes in place across Care Synergy and all of its Affiliates for all of Care Synergy’s business lines (hospice, home care, palliative care, PACE, CAPABLE, Wellness, etc..).
Works collaboratively with the CIO in ensuring all technology and business applications are maintained, backed up and upgraded in accordance with IT standards.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with key vendors that support Finance, Budgeting, Audit, Payroll, Accounting, Tax, Investment, Retirement and Treasury Services, as well as holding vendors accountable for delivering upon their contractual commitments.
Reviews, approves and manages finance functions, including annual operating and capital budgets, in order to maintain an affordable and efficient cost structure for all lines of business (hospice, home care, palliative care, PACE, CAPABLE, Wellness, etc..).
Monitors, manages and publishes monthly financial and other key performance metrics/data in a timely fashion to allow Care Synergy and its Affiliates’ leadership to effectively manage all lines of businesses.
Works in collaboration with the CEO and senior executives to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of Care Synergy and its Affiliates.
Serves as strategic and financial advisor to the Care Synergy President & CEO, as well as Affiliate presidents.
Develops and executes strategic and operating plans; is responsible for capital and financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, financial systems, cost accounting and budgeting, as well as investment accounting and tax reporting for all lines of businesses (hospice, home care, palliative care, PACE, CAPABLE, Wellness, etc.).
Assures all financial operations function efficiently and effectively in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutory/regulatory requirements.
Ensures the executive team and Affiliates are provided financial analysis necessary to conduct their businesses, providing timely financial reporting and other financial information to evaluate operational performance.
Formulates strategies for ensuring profitability, collections, including positive cash flows and liquidity, strong capital and surplus, as well as capital for investment in growth and innovation. Provides ongoing strategic and tactical support with respect to financial issues for current operations and new business ventures, proactively providing guidance with respect to opportunities, risks and strategic partnerships.
Manages tax functions and reporting, retirement plan reporting and cost reports, including tax accounting and reporting, tax return preparation, tax filings and tax compliance as well as the preparation and filling of Medicare Cost Reports and retirement plan 5500.
Leads treasury and investment functions, including oversight over management of fixed-income and equity security portfolios. Negotiates and maintains lines of credit, project financings and achievement of optimal capital structures, including tax-exempt financing strategies. Responsible for selection of and maintaining relationships with investment consultants, investment managers, bond underwriters, consultants, commercial banks, etc.
Oversees the interpretation and analysis of direct patient expenses, clinical and medical cost data; identifying key drivers of cost trends and working collaboratively with Affiliate presidents and other leadership team members in fully understanding, accurately interpreting and predicting costs, as well as identification of strategies and initiatives to control and/or reduce cost trends.
Overseas organizational investments and funds Care Synergy’s retirement plan(s). Manages investment consultants, managers and custodial/administrator relationships, related investment, and funding policies.
Ensures corporate and plan level ERISA compliance, accounting and financial reporting, all audits, tax and regulatory filings.
Maintains policies, procedures and state/federal regulations necessary and desirable for the proper conduct of ordinary business affairs involving Finance, Accounting and Treasury Services, as well as hospice and palliative care analytics and business intelligence are established, maintained and followed.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in accounting or finance required; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience: At least Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in highly complex and diversified hospice/home care/PACE/health care companies; preferably with a minimum of Five (5) years’ experience at the CFO level in a health care company. Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint and other finance-related software tools.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge and experience working in Sage, UltiPro/UKG, DocLinks, and other finance/accounting-related software.
